White dust on the comb is a scalp-surface problem. A part that looks wider in the bathroom mirror is a density problem. One bottle that claims both usually leaves the scalp tighter and helps neither.
Coltsfoot is a wash. Use it as the bottle says. The activator is a liquid for the scalp, not a second shampoo. Ginseng-caffeine is also a wash, for hair that lies flat after you rinse, not for a comb full of flakes.
Flakes: Coltsfoot for two weeks, then stop if the scalp is calmer. Never had flakes, only a thin look: skip Coltsfoot. This is not a clinic protocol and not a promise of new hair.
Broken skin, infection, or a sudden heavy shed: see a doctor. This is not medical advice.
